I had a great week with my little crew of 4-7 year olds in our mini version of Art Camp. Details of the camp be read in my previous post here. Over 3 short days, students completed 3 projects from all over the world - Salt Watercolor Koi Fish (Japan) Aboriginal Dot Paintings (Australia) Construction Paper Molas (Panama) Check out some pictures from our time together - I can't wait until next summer!

Today was our final day of Art Camp.
Thank you to the lovely group of ladies this year for participating. I hope to see you all next summer! Our mini art show was a success. Check out their quick displays below, along with group pictures from our final day. (Click on the images below to enlarge) Today, we decided to go outside for our snack break... and beat the rain JUST in time! Click on the images to enlarge. Our Sharpie Zentangle Landscapes are done, and many of our SnapChat Portraits are done as well! Tomorrow we will add finishing touches and create our Sidewalk Chalk murals for everyone to enjoy! Fingers crossed for good weather! Art Show starts at 11:45am.
Day 2 was a success! We completed any remaining Stained Glass projects, continued to work on our Snapchat Portraits, and started out Sharpied Zentangle Landscapes (example to the left). I also had early finishers help me create some signs for our upcoming art show. Tomorrow we will finish up both of those projects and get ready for our final project - Sidewalk Chalk Murals! Thursday is Mini-Art Show day starting at 11:45am in the Cafeteria! Click on images to enlarge them. Students used the Grid Enlargement method to draw and enlarge their SnapChat photos. Here are some Snapshots from Day 1. Tomorrow we will keep going with our agenda. We completed our Stained Glass Windows (with tissue paper) and set up our grid for our SnapChat Grid Enlargement Portraits. We also took the pictures that will be used for reference (check them out below). More updates tomorrow! Click on images to enlarge them.
